Is there a difference between these two? I don't see one. lol I found it on the ATRBA site with the caption - "Always a point of discussion, what is the right color?" Then these are on the Netherlands page: These were on our American page: So....its kinda tough... I do see a difference in ours and theirs in these pictures... I think I do like them better red instead of orange. It sents them apart from other breeds when they are the firey red color instead of just orange.

I personally like the deep, bright red. Otherwise, IMO, they look like mini New Zealand Reds to me. (To be fair, though, the NZR I had as a kid were very bright orange, and don't seem to be typical of the breed.)

Here's my problem, mine are red inside, and orange outside. The netherland and US pictures are taken in different lights so it's hard to really compare them.

Well, at the show I just went to, my seniors got beat out by some juniors because they were more red. Sooooo. Red it is then. (Judge was Vice President of ATRBA) XD He said they had good body type, but their color was lighter compared to the 2 juniors. They were like this lovely burnt red color. I have a litter of 5 babies now...and all of them are going to be too light! GAH!
I need to go out and buy new stock now... I do like the color, but it's really hard to find people that are selling. And they all live 10 lightyears away. Thriantas are going to be on the backburner for a while now. My next show isn't until SEPTEMBER. So I have to contact as many people as I can to see if they are selling and if they are going to be there.

Ken, I think your boys look spectacular. I favour the rich red colour over the so called orange. I'm in the UK.....when I asked about acquiring red stock i got a clear reminder that the desired colour needed is orange....perhaps I need to emigrate
