DDS = Dumb Doe Syndrome
This is what I call it when a rabbit won't use the nest box.
Well, my Thrianta Doe Rouge had a litter of 4 yesterday, of course on the wire. At least she built a nice nest from all the materials in the nest box and pulled fur.
She has always been "testy". Got really bad during pregnancy and now......."Fire Breathing Thrianta Doe" LOL!
I pulled out the box, grabbed the kits (1 was doa) and re-built the nest into a smaller nest box.
Now every time I open the door she still has a mouthful of stuff and is trying to build a nest elsewhere. She has run out of the cage 4 times already-argh!
Kits have been fed. May have to foster them as she is having a meltdown-
Anyone want a brat? <o:
